How it started

Nine years ago Rev Diane Yule from St Andrews Presbyterian Church, here in Te Awamutu, called our community to gather. The purpose was to :

Acknowledge and thank the many sections of our community that make us who we are. Volunteers, Maori Warden, Police, Business people, Farmers, Schools, Whanau/families, Local Government, Media, St Johns, Fire brigade and more
To ask for the LORDS continued blessing on these ones and our community in general.

It was an amazing event, around 80 to 90 people attending in an atmosphere of support and co operation.
We have held the event each year for the last 9 years. In 2020, 170 people attended

Our meeting for 2022 is the first Wednesday in March and guest speaker to be confirmed

For the last 6 years we have been invited to go to Fonterra and bring a blessing for the drivers and tankers for safety on the roads. Thats a 6.15 am start :-)

Obviously for Health and Safety reasons only a few can go on site at Fonterra.

But afterwards more people gather across the road to thank and encourage the drivers
